Speaker Change For August
The Greater Irving Republican Club (GIRC) will have their monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Spring
Creek Barbeque, 3515 E. Airport Freeway, Irving Texas 75061.
If you plan to have dinner, please come at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Our guest speaker for our August meeting will be Bill Burch, Chairman of the Grass Roots Institution of Texas (GRIT).
He will speak on the growing grass roots movement.
Born in Fort Worth, Bill has been active in Texas politics for the past thirty (30) years and was a former Tarrant County Republican Party area leader. Among the many honors bestowed upon Bill; in 2006, he was honored by the Texas Legislature for his contributions to Texas; in 2007, he was honored as the volunteer of the year for Senate district 9; in 2008, he was appointed by the Supreme Court of Texas as a Public Director; and in 2009, he was honored for his
contributions to the State Bar of Texas.
Bill served with the United States Army Security Agency during the Vietnam era and is currently in the real estate business.
